Abstract

Microbial control and pharmaceutical water system operation were the overall themes for the 2013 ULTRAPURE WATER Pharma conference conducted here June 11-12, 2013, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lombard, Ill. The conference was moderated by Dr. Anthony Bevilacqua of METTLER-TOLEDO Thornton and Mr. William V. Collector of Water Consulting Specialists. The conference included presentations by representatives from pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other experts active in different aspects of pharmaceutical water treatment. This article is the first of a two-part series with summaries of some of the conference presentations.
