Abstract

In the pharmaceutical water business, one automatically associates the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) as key players impacting treatment decisions. While true, two professional trade groupsﾗthe International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) and the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA)ﾗalso have important roles in pharmaceutical water treatment. The PDA and ISPE and roles they have were highlighted during the ULTRAPURE WATER Pharma 2014 conference.
